Decision guide · Redesign
Redesign a website without discarding useful search visibility.
A sound redesign starts with an inventory. It keeps the URLs, content and signals already working, then fixes what genuinely blocks understanding or conversion.

Measure
before / after
01 — Before
Decide what should stay before moving anything.
The audit brings together URLs, queries, links, conversions, content, structured data and performance. A visually dated page may still carry valuable intent or authority.
- Indexed URLs and pages
- Queries, clicks and conversions
- Backlinks and entry pages
- Content to keep or merge
- Canonicals, hreflang and structured data
- Baseline performance measures
02 — Migration
Every valuable old URL receives an explicit destination.
Stable URLs stay whenever possible. Removed or merged content uses targeted redirects, never a blanket redirect to the home page. Sitemap, canonicals, internal links and languages are checked together.
03 — After
Launch is not the end of control.
HTTP responses, crawl errors, indexing, positions and conversions are monitored after publication. Changes are compared with the baseline before calling them a loss or improvement.
FAQ
Useful answers.
Can rankings fluctuate temporarily?
Yes. Search engines need to process changes. A rigorous migration lowers the risk and makes it easier to distinguish normal movement from a problem.
Should every page be retained?
No. A page without value can be merged or removed, but the decision should use data, links, intent and a coherent destination.
Prepare the redesign
Which assets must your future website keep?
Send the current URL and explain what needs to change. The inventory comes before the recommendation.
